BF3 & BF4 Escorts
Escort vehicles of levels BF3 and BF4 – in every German state and across Europe, also for transports you drive yourself.
Beyond a certain width, length or height, the permit specifies how a transport has to be secured. BF3 means an escort vehicle with a variable message sign on the roof that warns and guides the traffic behind. BF4 goes one step further: here, escorts authorised for the purpose take on traffic-control tasks that would otherwise be done by the police – at junctions or road closures, for example.
